If you are starting out in IT, one of the first questions is which full-stack track to pick. Java, Python and the MERN stack can all lead to a developer career, and none of them is the “wrong” choice. The better question is which one fits where you are today and the kind of work you want to do.

Start with the work you want to do

Each track at TechSummit Trainers covers the same four layers: frontend, backend, DevOps and cloud, and AI integration. What changes is the language and framework you build the backend with.

  • Full-Stack Java: React on the frontend, Spring Boot on the backend, with SQL, JPA/Hibernate and JUnit. A natural fit if you like structured, enterprise-style systems and microservices.
  • Full-Stack Python: Django, Django REST Framework and FastAPI with PostgreSQL. Python is also widely used for AI tooling, so it suits you if you want to work close to LLM APIs.
  • MERN Stack: MongoDB, Express, React and Node.js, so you use JavaScript from the browser to the database. It suits you if you want to build web products quickly with one language.

Three questions to ask yourself

  1. What have you already tried? If you have written some JavaScript, MERN will feel familiar. If you studied Java in college, building on it can save time.
  2. What kind of company do you picture yourself in? Look at a few job listings in Pune for the roles you like and note which languages come up most often.
  3. How do you like to learn? Pick the stack where the first small project you build makes you want to keep going.

What matters more than the language

Employers look for people who can build and ship. That is why every track includes hands-on projects, a capstone, mock interviews and resume building, along with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS and GitHub Actions for deployment. Once you understand how a full application fits together, moving to another language later is far easier.

We do not promise jobs or salaries, and you should be cautious of anyone who does. What we can promise is clear teaching, real projects and honest guidance.

Still unsure?

Book a free demo and tell us your background. We will give you an honest recommendation, even if it means suggesting a different track from the one you had in mind. You can also compare all five programmes on our courses page.
